Fourth meeting European Network Places of Peace

The Association European Network of Places of Peace is preparing the Fourth Meeting to be held on September 16th and 17th in the German city of Wermsdorf, organized by the Hubertusburg Castle Friendship Association, the place where was signed the Peace Treaty that ended the Seven Years' War, on the 15 February 1763.
Delegations from Germany, Bulgaria, Slovakia, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal and Turkey have already confirmed their presence and are also expecting delegations from other countries such as Croatia, Estonia and Greece.
In parallel with the Fourth Meeting of the Network, will be held the First General Annual Meeting of the Association European Network of Places of Peace which, among other matters, will elect the first Bodies of the Association which was formed in May this year in Évora Monte, Portugal. 

PROGRAM OF THE FOURTH MEETING

Thursday, September 16th

09.00/09.30 hours: Reception of the delegations at the Hubertusburg Castle (Ovalsaal)
09.30 hours:            Fourth European Meeting/First General Annual Meeting of the ENPP
                                Welcoming Interventions:
                                - Dr. Georg Müller (Chairman of Hubertusburg Castle Friendship Association)
                                - Mr. Mathias Müller (Mayor of Wermsdorf)
09.45 hours:           Introduction of all delegations (Each delegation’s head)
10.00 hours:         First General Annual Meeting of the Association 
                                “European Network of Places of Peace”
                                Item 1 – Admission of the New Founding Members
11.00 hours:           Item 2 – Election of the Bodies of the Association for the years 2010/2014
12.00 hours:           Item 3 – Decision about the payment of Admission Fees and about the value of
                                Members Annual Dues
13.30 hours:           Item 4 – Discussion and approval of Budget and Activities Plan for the year 2011

                                Long-range plan until 2014 (policy plan)
14.30 hours:           Item 5 – Other matters of interest of the Association
                               - Definition of the next meetings of all members and the possibility of
                                 Convening informal meetings
                               - Approval of the Declaration of the Fourth Meeting of ENPP
                               End of the First General Annual Meeting of ENPP
14.45 hours:          Press conference
16.00 hours:          Reception by the District Administrator of North Saxony, Mr. Michael Czupalla
18.00 hours:          Tour in Torgau

Friday, September 17th

09.00 hours:          Visit the Hubertusburg Castle (Wermsdorf)
12.00 hours:          Participation in the opening of the Third Hubertusburg Peace Conference
 


Application to E.U. Culture Program
The Association is also preparing an Application to the EU Culture Program to be presented during next September and is seeking for partners in Europe, either as co-organizers or as Associated Partners.
